Taiwan Day 7 + 8 (final)

Finally I'm down to blogging about the last two days!

DAY SEVEN

We travelled out to Ruifang to visit Shifen and Pingxi. The temperature that day was 6°C and it was also pouring so we all kinda froze to death. My hands felt so cold that they hurt from the bone.

At Shifen… Where I got lost because my parents wandered off and didn't tell me where they were going while I was engrossed in taking THIS picture. 

The waterfall that Shifen is famous for. It was quite short and disappointing and not worth getting lost for! Snapped many pictures to make up for the unhappiness getting lost had caused me.

At Pingxi's old streets, nomming away…

Pingxi is known for their sky lanterns (see below, images taken from Google as I have yet to witness this beautiful sight) and they'll release shit loads into the sky during the lantern festival. People write their wishes on the lanterns in hopes of them coming true.

So they sell smaller keychain lanterns with well wishes on them.

Finally reached the city again. I had to have my strawberry fix :)

DAY EIGHT

There are no pictures for today because we didn't bring the camera out. The day was simple, we went to eat duck meat (because goose meat sounds too odd) which tasted divine and costed $40 (for half a damned goose). We also bought a new luggage because we bought too much goodies to bring home. Spent hours in Watsons… I don't really mind though.

That's about all we did. And then it was a long flight back to Singapore. Watched 10 episodes of Modern Family and loved it. I will watch more when I find the time!
