Some nights, I take time to sit and feel everything around me, without touch.

It's calming to feel the light breeze, smell the night air, hear the sound of bicycles coming from seven floors down, the last few buses on the road, the tapping of my keyboard, the steady rotation of the fan, the dogs upstairs. It's calming, after a busy day, to just stop all that hustling and embrace the peace nightfall brings.

Sometimes I'm seated on the balcony floor, sometimes on the daybed, sometimes under my blankets, sometimes by the window. Sometimes without all the bustle and hustle, feelings that I have put off for the day finally get to me. Be it happy or sad, I try to feel it with all my heart.

I think I'm weird, but some nights, I take time to sit and feel everything around me, without touch.
