You can call me rain
for all I seem to do is
always fall for you.
I remember learning how to write haikus when I was way younger. I actually managed to recall that a haiku consisted of three phrases with 5, 7 and 5 morae (similar to syllable) respectively. Sadly, I never really came up with anything impressive. I think I underestimated the ability of these three-liners to convey a strong message in the past and I'm growing to appreciate them now. The above is by Tyler Knott Gregson.
I've always known that giving out fliers is a sucky job. As much as possible, I always take fliers that are given out, irregardless if I want them or immediately throw them away after. Last night, I got to experience what's it like to give out fliers with Nicole, Vanessa and Lixian.
After last night, I have learnt that:
1) Men are nicer than women. Women shun your fliers like you've got "I GOT AIDS" written across your forehead, but men come up to you and ask if they can have a flier. The fliers I gave out were about designer bags, mind you? How kind of them!
2) If you don't give out your fliers 2-3 at a time, you'll never finish your pile. If you feel guilty, target couples because two people = a flier each.
3) Stand in people's ways and hand the fliers as close to the level of their hands as possible, so it's convenient for them to take it from you. Also, make sure that the fliers face them so they can read what's on it.
4) If people don't take your fliers, try your best to give them a paper cut.
I burst out laughing a few times when I accidentally handed fliers to a bangalah and a butch. I can't believe how some people just walk right into your fucking flier like as if you are invisible. I said thank you to everyone who took my fliers, and to those pricks who ignored me I loudly proclaimed fuck you! You should at least have the courtesy to say "No thanks" right???
Horrible me skipped work again today. I hate myself so much for being so lazy but I just can't help it! Went pillow shopping with my mom and bought a new pillow!!! It'll only arrive on 6 March because my mom attacked the "free delivery for nett purchase of $150 and above" option. Also bought a pair of jeans and a new bra (ok tmi but whatevs) from H&M. I swear this is my new favourite clothing store. Their pants are actually long enough for my long legs, they actually have my size for bras, their rings actually fit me, their accessories are chic, and everything there is affordable! Love love love!!!
Till we meet again~
